Shapeshifting, free-roaming robotic soft built by Stanford Engineers!

MAR. 28, 2020

Advances in soft robotics may one day allow robots to work side by side with humans, helping them lift heavy objects or carry them out of danger.

Soft robot which can reconfigure its shape to catch and handle objects. Once inflated, it can change shape and move without being attached to a source of energy or air. A new kind of robot blends conventional robotics with soft robotics, making it healthy but robust. When it is inflated it can change shape and travel without being attached to an energy or air source.
